Dewy-eyed

Hits @ Astro has provided amongst others my favorite family drama when I was growing up such as Little House on The Prairie. Well done.

I am happy that I can watch Mind Your Language rerun already in its Season 2 on Hits 😊. However, it should be rated as X or at least 18+, in a way that underage persons are not allowed to watch! During those days many were not aware how outlandish the sitcom was. The girls from France and Sweden caused chaos in class vying for their teacher’s attention and the guys would be watching their shapes or vital statistics in class and often teasing them with language only adult could understand.

There is religious and political tension led to infighting which is all happening in that series. Now I understand the dispute between persons from Punjab and Pakistan calling each other infidels and even from Italy and Spain where they fight on how entrench their Catholic beliefs are, China and Japan with their communism anti imperialism stance versus democratic ideologies. When it comes to the industrial trade aspect, the Japanese student rightly said that Japan produced excellent automobile, home appliances, camera down to calculator, of course at that time. German efficiency is also propagated by the German student only to be frowned at. In addition, the Brits i.e. the school’s Headmistress, caretaker and waiter are understandably royalties’ fanatics but then they are unafraid to poke fun on them, imagine putting the royal couple faces on the gents and ladies washrooms, so hilarious and that made my day! Nevertheless, there is no other series in terms of teaching of English that matches this.

By and large each time after watching this sitcom gives me the nostalgic sense as the coming together of many races in one show describes that we were already globalized in the late 70s.

Masala Dosa

MTR Vegetarian Restaurant nestles in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur serves marvelous authentic Bangalore India food such as Masala Dosa or commonly known here as Masala Tosei. It goes with lentil bean as the inner gravy and olive oil poured on the dosa. My favourite drink is its special filter Arabica coffee bean with fresh goat milk. A clean and fast serving food restaurant, MTR has been here since 1924. Must try cause I enjoyed every minute of it! Friday 18/2/2022.

There is an abundance of oil in circulation but travelling is limited, how irony. It will take a recovery in demand to really turn the market round and that will depend on how the health crisis unfolds. Further, pessimism about the prospects of oil companies and oil prices continues to rise. ⇸⇸⇸⇸⇸⇸⇸⇸⇸⇸⇸⇸⇸⇸⇸

Abstinence

"O you believers, fasting is prescribed to you as it was presribed to those before you, that you may learn self-restraint". The Quran 02:183.  In a matter of two days, marks the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, which occurs on the ninth month of the lunar-based Islamic calendar, all Muslims are required to abstain from food and drink from dawn to dusk for 30 days. As Ramadan shifts approximately 11 days earlier each year on the solar-based Gregorian calendar, Muslims experience Ramadan in different seasons throughout the course of the lives. The act of fasting is meant to remind Muslims of the less fortunate and to reinforce the need to be thankful. As one of the five pillars, or duties, of Islam, fasting during this month is mandatory for all healthy adult Muslims. Children who have not reached puberty, the elderly, those who are physically or mentally incapable of fasting, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and travellers are exempted.  May this year Ramadan br
